A strong personality with a clear vision and the desire to build a powerful, united team joins our club. Daniel Czerný becomes the new coach of Opava Patriots FC, and we bring you his first words upon joining the team.
How did you get into football, and what do you enjoy most about it?
I played football until I was a youth player. Later, I took a break and focused on tennis, but I missed the team spirit. What I enjoy most about football is when it’s played beautifully and offensively, and the joy is shared with the team.
Can you tell us something about your football journey so far?
I played as a forward, and my most memorable experience was scoring a goal against Oldřišov – it’s a moment I’ll never forget.
Why did you decide to join Opava Patriots FC?
I felt that this was a place where I could get the chance to fulfill my dream – to become a coach. I want to repay the club for the trust they’ve shown me and share a successful period with the team.
What are your personal goals with our team?
I want to build a competitive team that will soon rise to a higher level. I also aim to create a great environment where players feel comfortable and want to return.
What do values like strength, perseverance, honor, victory, and family mean to you?
These values are very close to my heart. I never give up, I love challenges, and I want to win. Family and unity are the foundation for me – both in life and in sports.
How do you spend your free time off the pitch?
I play games on PlayStation and PC, train in tennis, and watch the Premier League – I support Chelsea. But most of my free time goes to my eight-year-old daughter, who is my biggest motivator.
Do you have a message for our fans?
I want to present beautiful attacking football that excites both us and our fans. I look forward to your support – together, we can go far!
